Welcome!

Welcome to the Spring 2010 Book Structures course. Professor Denise Bookwalter will be taking attendance on the first day of class, as I will be in Portland for the College Book Arts Association Conference.

This is the class site, where all readings and handouts will be posted. Please see Blackboard for all grading information. Click on the link below for a PDF of your syllabus. Before we meet on Tuesday, please review the syllabus and be prepared to ask any questions you may have.

Syllabus Revised (again!)

Please note that you have homework for the weekend, which we will be discussing on Tuesday. Your assignment is to visit the Book_Arts_L listserv discussion regarding the Definition of the Artist’s Book. This is a lengthy post, so I don’t expect you to read it in it’s entirety. However, please take some time to digest some of the discussion and try to skim most of the posts. We’ll discuss your opinions of these definitions in class on Tuesday. A link for the discussion is included on your syllabus, as well as below.

Also, please review the supplies list on your syllabus and try to acquire the listed items as soon as possible.

If you have any questions, please feel free to e-mail me. My address is belmer@fsu.edu.

I look forward to meeting y’all on Tuesday!
